WHAT IS GHEE?
Ghee is clarified butter. It is made by heating the butter to separate the water, salt and milk solids which leaves the golden butter fat. What you’re left with is an easily digestible fat that is highly nutritious with a subtle aroma and flavour. It has it’s origins in India and to this day is widely used in Ayurvedic medicine because of it’s healing properties. It has been used for thousands of years, quite literally. It’s truly an “ancient” health food and is definitely not a fad.
